The first stage of the development of the site to become now the Titanic Quarter commenced in July 2006. The 185 acre site was formerly occupied by Harland & Wolf, who of course constructed RMS Titanic. In the 10 years since then, the change in the geography of what once was an abandoned former shipyard to what is now an iconic area of modern architecture but still maintaining that historical edge has been nothing short of remarkable. Directly adjacent to the Titanic Quarter is the Odyssey Arena, which is laden with many things to do. The W5 is perfect for children of all ages, as well as adults with that childish streak still in them! The arena also is the home of the Belfast Giants ice hockey team is a venue for many massive music concerts and also houses Odeon cinema. Moreover, the restaurants within the building are fantastic too!
